Wire sets works great January 9, 2008 Mark Sanchez (Phoenix, AZ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I replaced both my plugs and wires at the same time, so I'm not sure where to attribute the results of using these wires. After my tune up, my engine runs much smoother and things I hadn't even noticed before like slight engine vibration, and things I did notice like pinging at idle and high loads are gone. There is less engine whine through the stereo, and the insulation is definitely thicker and the boots feel durable and pop tightly into position. These fit perfectly on my 5.3 engine in my '02 GMC Sierra. Amazon had the best price with free shipping.

I installed these wires on my 2004 Silverado, 70k plus miles and factory wires, there was a very noticable difference in sound and throttle response!
Do they work? I think so... April 6, 2010 D. Cunningham (Tulsa, OK USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sooo I'll admit that I was very skeptical of these wires from the very get go. They come highly recommended from several of the car forums that I read and are a well known brand in aftermarket performance products category. MSD has been around for a long time it's not a fly by night operation here. The plugs were here in two days and were cheaper than the local automotive franchise stores. Did I mention that they are red? Bright red? Didn't initially do it for me but once they are in the engine I do have to admit that the look great - but lets be honest - you didn't justify the expensive wires just because they are "pretty."
I drive a Chevy Avalanche with the V8 5.3L power plant. My truck just hit 90k miles and I wanted to preempt my 100k mile maintenance by getting an early start on some of the things that have never been changed on this vehicle. I have been running stock spark plugs and wires for 90k miles with no real feel/mileage drop (that I knew of) from the stocks. This is a big up to GM for installing reliable parts from the get go. UPS dropped off at 7pm and I couldn't wait for the install so I went outside and knocked it out. Now, I have to mention that on this truck, at least, the install is not 10 minutes for your average Joe Blow. I had the complete wires swapped in about 30 minutes but it was dark and I had no helper for my flashlight - OBVIOUSLY not ideal installation time. On my truck and on most GM's in this series the back (closest to the firewall) two plugs on either side SUCK. I ended up mauling the cables and metal shielding to get the plugs out. Be prepared with some pliers and some patience and probably some beer for good measure.
I took the truck for a spin and it's probably a placebo but I FEEL like the truck is much more responsive. Better yet, I know that these wires should give my truck the help it needs for another 100k.
Happy with the buy.
2006 Chevy Suburban 1500 6.0 March 27, 2009 D. SAVAGE (Bay area, Ca.) I bought these wires along with the Pulstar plugs. The Pulstar plugs say to wait 2 tanks of gas for the computer to adjust. Well, I just put Edelbrock Headers on my truck...that led to a slight "lope" because of the decreased back pressure. After I put these wires on and the plugs, My truck has a very noticible difference! The lope is gone. The computer hasn't even adjusted yet! Really make the engine bay look cool to. I can notice the difference between these wires and the stock ones. I strongly recommend them.
GREAT Deal!! February 25, 2010 Malcolm Fabre (Palatka, Florida) I bought these wires (#32829) as the research showed they were by far the best set for 5.3l GM motors. The fit was perfect and they were a simple install as they were cut to length and needed no modifications.
